#13 RUSHMORE
Rushmore is a comedy-drama film about a young teenager named Max Fishcer, played by Jason Schwartzman, that becomes friends with a rich guy named Herman Blume portrayed by Bill Murray, who is much older than him and they both fall in love with an elementary school teacher Rosemary Cross played by Olivia Williams. I didn't really like this movie because I didn't find the plot of the story interesting. There is nothing funny about this movie, every scene was boring, there was no hook to it. Nothing in this movie made me want to keep watching it, I was bored since the beginning of the movie but I kept watching it in hope that it would get better but it never did. I honestly don't understand how critics said this was "the best comedy of the year" in 1998 there is nothing good about this movie it didn't make me laugh not even a grin. I also disagree with what the other critics when they said Rushmore was "the best and most beautiful movie of 1998" I disagree because it really is not a good movie and I doubt that it was the best movie of 1998 because I'm sure there were funnier and better movies in 1998. I didn't find any of the characters funny, I mean sure the main character was funny looking but that is not enough to make a movie a good comedy. Rushmmore is definitely not a movie I would watch more than once because I didnt find anything in the movie funny. I didnt think the plot or the characters were funny. I dont think any one looking to get a good laugh would enjoy watching this movie.I really wouldn't waste my time watching Rushmore again because it just isn't worth it. I don't recommend this movie to anyone who loves comedies because this movie just shouldn't even be considered a comedy, it's not funny at all.
